Complex, this single vineyard Pinot Noir grows atop a 12 acre hill. 100% Estate grown from Pommard stock. Dark Cherry and black licorice accentuated by roasted aromas of smoke, bacon fat, coffee and tobacco. On the pallet dark fruit and spice meld into volume and weight followed by a lengthy, wet-slate finish
This is a very fun and unique wine. It's a cool climate Syrah Noir clone and is cofermented with 10% Vigoner in the Rhone style. 2015 was a warm vintage that allowed us to achieve full phenolic ripeness and the wine retains a lot of brightness and acidity so it should easily continue to positively develop for another 5-8 years in bottle.
Aromas of Asian pear, kiwi and the sidewalk after a rainstorm enhance the flavors of almond, orange peel and ginger with a dry mineral driven textured finish. This fresh vintage is showing off on every level.
Complex aromas of poached pear and peaches, with notes of golden straw and honey. On the palate the wine is well balanced with great intensity of flavors of sweet honeydew melon, butterscotch and savory baking spice finishing with a hint of minerality.

Named after Christina of Family Ownership. This is a highly limited small production wine. The Christina's block is a placeholder for a special lot that we find in the cellar each vintage. Each vintage we always have some amazing Pinot Noir that doesn't quite fit into any of our Pinot Noir programs so it would just get blended into our Cali's Cuvee blend. The wine would help the Cali's, but a couple barrels hardly impacts a 10,000 case blend so we always felt a little sad about the wine that could've been. So we created the Christina's to feature a couple of these rare and unique barrels from each vintage and give them a chance to be something special. 2017 was a cool climate vintage and with growing conditions for producing classic Oregon Pinot Noir.
